Hummus Dip

Chickpeas are great for losing weight since they’re loaded with fiber, which keeps us feeling fuller longer. Hummus is a Levantine dip recipe made out of cooked or mashed chickpeas, blended with lemon juice, salt, olive oil, tahini sauce, yogurt, and garlic.


  • 2 cups, chickpeas      
  • 1 tbs., yogurt              
  • 4 tbs., water               
  • 2 tbs., Olive oil           
  • 2, garlic clove chopped          
  • 1/2 tsp. Tahini sauce
  • 1 tbs., Lemon juice    
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for boiling chickpeas

For Garnishing:

  • 3 Olives          
  • A pinch of paprika      
  • 2 tbs., Olive oil               


  • Chickpeas preparation: Soak the chickpeas overnight. Transfer the soaked chickpeas to large saucepan containing water so that all the chickpeas dipped deeply… Bring the water to boil, then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 1 1/2 hour for softer beans.
  • Now add olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, tahini sauce, yogurt and water along with chickpeas and blend it in a blender or a food processor until its texture become creamy.
  • Garnish it with olive oil, olives and paprika powder.
  • Enjoy yummy hummus with garlic bread.
